Maintenance Engineers will be the onshore ‘Focal Point’ for all asset operational maintenance. Working closely with the maintenance planner and OTLM the maintenance engineer is accountable for ensuring planning, execution and closeout for preventive and corrective maintenance supporting the effective delivery of scheduling and lessons learned reviews with accountability with scopes including:
Planned Maintenance Routines & Correctives
Planned Interventions including; Rotating Eqpt Activity -(GT Overhauls & Inspections / Major Pump Changeouts), Major Inspection Activity
Maintenance Vendor visits such as; Adhoc Electrical / Mechanical / Instrument Maintenance, Crane, Lifeboats, etc…
Key behaviours required will include strong leadership, motivated self starter, and high personal impact with ability to influence, strong networking skills and teamwork.
The successful candidate will have to demonstrate a proven track record of safety behaviours and attitude and ability to work across discipline boundaries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Activity Delivery
Create a strong relationship with OTLM to ensure optimal execution
With the Maintenance Planner produce a detailed activity plan for maintenance activities
Assist, when requested, maintenance planner in obtaining information to build routine task job-plans
Assist resource controller to ensure activity materials are ordered
Monitor offshore scope during execution and assist from onshore where required
Review maintenance vendor reports and raise corrective work-orders after consultation with relevant parties where required
Attendance at 8Q/12W/6W Planning meetings, with accountability for representing asset Maintenance
Vendor Performance Management
Supplier Performance Management and key contact for maintenance contracts
Hold monthly meetings and QPRs
Create Performance Improvement Plan with maintenance providers in co-ordination with offshore team to drive continuous improvement
Commercial Accountability
BRO for Maintenance cost-centres within allocated asset
Development and management of the North Sea maintenance budget for respective hubs and cost codes
Info-edge forecasting
Develop & agree long-term budgets with vendors
Technical Assurance / Reliability
Review PMR content for correctness to ensure activity optimisation
Pro-actively support planner with backlog management
Dissemination of Best Maintenance Practices throughout the North Sea
Definition of critical spares and ensuring resource controller is aware of any shortfall
Learn from operations and maintenance experience and share learning’s in pursuit of improvement programme
Provide Technical Performance Assurance that overall asset Business Risks are being managed
Able to undertake operational risk assessments, incident investigation and analysis
Contribute to development & improvement of maintenance performance measures
QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering Degree qualified preferred or HND in engineering discipline
Experience in discipline engineering & maintenance
Extensive understanding of offshore working environments
Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience required
Project management skills
Knowledge of design principles and engineering standards, and in particular for UKCS compliance, would be an advantage.
Competent in reading technical drawings
Demonstrated computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office, Excel, and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
A working knowledge of tools used for data analysis.
Knowledge of the Safety Case Verification process, Safety Critical Elements, Written Schemes and Performance
