We are seeking an experience Compressor Optimization Engineer to work for a major operator in Angola as soon as possible.

Duration: 1+ year
Schedule: 28/28 Rotation
Rate: To be proposed by interested candidate
Location: Malongo, Angola

Roles:

• Advanced knowledge of centrifugal compression systems.  
• Manages area of responsibility to achieve operational excellence in compression equipment optimization, design, and performance including incident free operations.
• Responsible for identifying and acting on optimization opportunities, and the technical integration and operation of the new Compressor Decision Support Center.  
• Mentor and provide technical support to the CDSC technician staff, maintaining awareness of compressor performance concession-wide.  
• Responsible for standardization and optimization of compression equipment  
• Frequent field trips and constant engagement with operations to assist in the scoping, design, and execution of compression optimization and compression projects will be required.  
• Be able to perform studies (financial and technical) for compressor opportunities.    

Skills:

  

• Strong background and experience with centrifugal gas compression systems, predictive maintenance, control systems, and compressor design, compressor operations and maintenance.  
• Knowledge of compression equipment performance software is required.  
• Ability to retrieve and understand basic operational and engineering data and compile it for review.  
• Understanding of offshore surface production facilities/operations is a plus.

Requirements:

  

• Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering)  

Certifications:

• PE, PEng or equivalent is a plus
